Whats not to love about painting cows and who says they have to be brown or black, anyway? Prepare to stretch your imagination as you explore this fun subject in watercolor. During this 2-day online class, you are encouraged to paint, using one of Robins photos (emailed to you before class) or from your own reference photos. Robin will paint several cows, demonstrating various techniques, color mixing, background ideas, making shadows, and more. At the end of day two, shell show how to mount a finished painting onto one of Cheap Joes extra deep cradled wood panels. Youll gain painting skills that can be applied to any subject, but painting cows is such fun, it may inspire you to start a new series! This workshop is best suited for artists that have basic watercolor skills, and up. The live, interactive sessions (hosted through Zoom) will be recorded, and enrolled participants will receive lifetime, unlimited access to the videos.

Workshop Terms and Conditions

Level 2 (and up) – Beginner-Intermediate: Reviews basic techniques for beginners as needed, and offers practice exercises at an average pace to assist in gaining confidence and experience with the medium. Assistance is given to all.

Robin Poteet has been a full-time watercolor painter for the past 17 years and is a frequent instructor at Cheap Joes and at other organizations around the US. Her strong design sense comes from a career in graphic design and illustration for major US corporations. She has won numerous awards and has been featured in publications such as North Lights Sketchbook Confidential II and Palette Magazine. Robins teaching approach is relaxed, yet informative, and she has the unique gift of pushing students without their fully realizing it.

Cancellation Policy – By completing your purchase transaction, you agree to accept the following cancellation/refund policy: A $30 cancellation fee applies if you cancel at least 8 days in advance. Cancellation requests need to be emailed directly to [email protected]. There is NO refund, for any reason, less than 8 days prior, during, or after the class. You cannot transfer to a different workshop. There are no refunds or discounts for missed sessions or no-shows. If the instructor allows the workshop to be recorded, the videos are only available to enrolled students. If you cannot attend the live sessions but want to receive the videos, please notify Edwina in advance of the workshop. No-shows, without prior notification, will not receive video access. If Cheap Joe’s or the instructor cancels the class, you will receive a full refund of tuition, but not other related expenses.
