Description
Capture the luminosity and drama of light, and paint with more emotion, in this 3-day interactive online workshop! Alicia will work with students on what to look for in a good reference, and how to utilize light with shapes, color, and other exciting design elements to tell a much more interesting story in a painting than what the photo reference offers. Alicia will demonstrate each day and students can either follow along with the same subject or choose their own. She will demonstrate painting a human face with dramatic light shapes and another painting with figures in the landscape. This workshop is best suited for artists having basic watercolor experience, and up. The class will be taught and hosted by Cheap Joes, using the Zoom platform, and will be recorded on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Enrolled students will have unlimited, lifetime access to the videos following the workshop. Alicia will also be available for an optional one-hour Zoom session on Wednesday (not recorded) for those who would like to drop in and ask questions, or paint on their own. Students will receive specific workshop details and Zoom log-in information, by email, about a week prior to the workshop.
