Amaco Potter’s Choice Glazes were designed for anyone who would like to achieve the Cone 10 reduction effects in an electric kiln without having to have a reduction gas kiln or firing at that high temperature. These stunning glazes add fluid colors and effects to smooth or textured ware, and can be layered with each other for a wide variety of colors and surfaces.

Every glaze, except for Palladium, is dinnerware and food safe, and every color conforms to ASTM D-4236 standards. These glazes can be brushed on in layers or dipped. For optimal results, these lead-free glazes are fired at Cone 5-6 (2205F-2269F, 1207C-1243C) in an oxidation kiln. Amaco Potter’s Choice Glazes are ready-to-use right out of the jar, just shake well.

Vert Lustre – Vert Lustre is a beautiful flowing green glaze with a metallic sheen like that of ancient Persian Lusterware. This glaze reacts well to texture and has great effects when layered with other Potter’s Choice glazes.
